Ryan Bladzik

Ryan Bladzik is the Publisher of The Rail and Owner/Principal of Great Lakes Creative Marketing & Communications, LLC, located in Holly, MI. He and Janet Leslie founded The Rail in 2010 to provide analysis, commentary and perspectives in support of progressive community and economic development in the Northwest Oakland County area. Prior to co-founding The Rail, he led alumni online communications programs at the University of Miami and also managed alumni marketing programs at Oakland University. Ryan has more than 14 years of online communications experience and has been recognized by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and the Public Relations Society of America for his work. Active in the community, Ryan serves on the Village of Holly Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Holly Area Economic Development Task Force. He is a member of Holly Lodge #134, F. & A.M., and the President of the alumni chapter of Delta Upsilon International Fraternity at Michigan State University. A native of Manistee, MI, Ryan holds Bachelor’s degrees in political science and international studies, and a Master of Arts in Communication degree, all from Michigan State University.
