…if young professionals in Holly got together to renew a local Jaycees chapter? Although there are many wonderful civic organizations in the Holly community, the mission of the Jaycees is to engage young people (under 40) to volunteer and improve their communities and economies, with the end goal of starting a lifetime of community involvement. Some Jaycees chapters, like the Greater Rochester Jaycees or the Frankenmuth Jaycees do outstanding work, have a measurable impact on those communities, and provide young people with structured, organized and mutually-beneficial opportunities to volunteer.

I will personally take on this endeavor for Holly. I feel that if we had a Jaycees chapter it would be a great way to get young people involved in community programs and volunteering. I have already begun the inquiry process and will get this off the ground in 2011! I would also like to recognize Ryan and Jason for contacting the Jaycees Michigan office with no luck on their part and receiving no contact back regarding their inquiry earlier this year. I’m looking forward to a very productive 2011 in Holly!
